The Hands Behind the Beads

I started Tlingit Treasures to celebrate the beauty of beadwork. It’s an art form passed down through generations. Each piece of jewelry is carefully handcrafted with a focus on tradition and creativity. I aim to capture the essence of Tlingit culture while also embodying the skill and artistry of our craftsmen and women.

After a month spent with my birth mother, learning the craft, I applied for the Alaska State Council on the Arts “Silver Hand” permit and was awarded and issued my permit, No. 2998, on August 16th, 2024.

As a Silver Hand Artist, I am authorized to affix a Silver Hand identification seal to my authentic Alaska Native artwork under the authority of the Silver Hand Program and the provisions.

Raven-Rooted.

My name is Raven, and I’m a beader, storyteller, and artist from Southeast Alaska.

I started this journey with a love for connection and the quiet joy I get from creating with my hands. Each piece I make is inspired by the land I come from, the stories I carry, and the strong women who’ve come before me.

This shop is a small reflection of my heritage and heart - where beadwork becomes a way to honor tradition, celebrate culture, and offer beauty into the world.

Whether you wear these pieces for ceremony, everyday magic, or a little of both, I hope they bring you joy and a sense of belonging.
